Terms & Conditions

1. What happens when I make a reservation?

Before you book your accommodation please check the availability page to see whether the accommodation is available for the period in which you wish to stay. Once you have verified that the accommodation is available, you can either email your booking request to bookings@islandclubwest.co.uk or book via Villarentals.com and once this is received we will confirm that the booking has been made.

A confirmation email will be sent to you showing details of your booking and the balance of monies owing. Please check these details carefully to ensure it reflects what you intended to book. If intended departure is within 8 weeks, then the total cost is payable in full at the time of booking confirmation.

2. Do you guarantee the price?

The cost of the accommodation is guaranteed to be that at the time of the booking.

3. How do I book, what do I pay . . . and when?

The person in whose name the booking is made acts on behalf of all other persons named, must be over 18 years of age and becomes responsible to us for all payments in respect of the booking. Your reservation will be confirmed upon payment of a deposit of £100 . We allow 7 days from confirmation of the booking for the deposit monies to reach us. If after that period monies have not been received, the reservation is cancelled. The balance must be received by us at least 8 weeks before your departure date. Please note that you will not receive a reminder that final payment is due. Please also ensure you send payment in sufficient time for us to pay-in and clear your payment through your bank, otherwise your booking will be cancelled, and you will be liable to pay cancellation charges as shown in condition (6).

For all bookings made within 8 weeks of departure, the reservation is confirmed as soon as a verbal confirmation is given over the telephone or via email. Therefore if you subsequently cancel your booking, cancellation charges as shown below. Full payment for the holiday must be made at the time of booking in order to secure the reservation.

4. What happens if you change my holiday?

In the unfortunate event that we have to cancel your reservation, which would only be due to damages to the property, we would offer you the opportunity of changing your accommodation dates at no extra cost i.e. if your cancelled reservation was during low season and you re-booked for high season you would not have to pay anything extra.

If you do not accept the offer to change your dates, we would refund to you the full amount paid and if the cancellation is within 55 days of your departure date, an additional compensation payment would also be paid as detailed below:

<table border="0" width="48%" id="table3">

</tr>
<tr>
<td width="254"><font size="2">29–55 days</font></td>
<td><font size="2">£10</font></td>
</tr>
</table>

5. What happens if I change my holiday plans?

If you wish to change your reservation in any way, and we can accept the change, the following charges will apply. Timescales refer to the date of receipt of your instructions in writing, and cancellation charges are detailed in Condition (6).

More than 56 days before departure – No charge for changes.
Less than 56 days before departure – Cancellation charges apply.

Please Note:
(i) No changes are allowed from a full price reservation to a special offer reservation. You can still change your dates but you will not receive any price discount applicable at the time of the change.
(ii) If a booking is changed the price will be taken from the rental rates valid at the time of original booking.

6. And if I cancel?
If you wish to cancel your reservation, this must be done in writing from the person in whose name the reservation was made, and sent by Recorded Delivery. In the event of cancellation or part cancellation, the following charges become payable:

<table border="0" width="48%" id="table4">

<td><font size="2">Deposit + 100%</font></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><font size="2">8 - 14 Days</font></td>
<td><font size="2">Deposit + 80%</font></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><font size="2">15 - 28 Days</font></td>
<td><font size="2">Deposit + 70%</font></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><font size="2">29 - 42 Days </font></td>
<td><font size="2">Deposit + 60%</font></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><font size="2">43 - 56 Days</font></td>
<td><font size="2">Deposit + 50%</font></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><font size="2">57 Days or More</font></td>
<td><font size="2">Deposit Only</font></td>
</tr>
</table>

You may be able to reclaim any loses through your travel insurance policy.

7. What happens if I damage anything within the property?

A returnable security deposit of £100 ($200) is required prior to arrival to cover the cost of any breakages. Upon leaving, the property will be inspected by the property management company and assuming everything is as it was when you arrived, the £100 ($200) will be returned to you.

As accidents can happen, if you do accidentally break or damage an item I would strongly recommend replacing it prior to your departure as if my management company have to replace it they will have to charge me for the time it takes them to go out and purchase the item and then take it to the property, not just for the replacement item itself and in most cases, their time alone will cost in excess of £40 ($60) and this will also have to come from your security deposit. A Walmart store is located nearby where you can buy items at great value prices.
